Etta  Perry


Etta Moss Perry, 90, of Lenox passed away Monday, May 6, 2019, at her residence, surrounded by her family. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Lenox Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Eidson officiating. Mrs. Perry will be laid to rest at Lenox Cemetery. Mrs. Perry will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Bryan Franklin, Steven Franklin, Wade Harnage, Craig Baker, Joseph Bennett and Kieffer Daughtry will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class at Lenox Baptist Church.
Born November 26, 1928 in Geneva County, Alabama, Mrs. Perry was the daughter of the late William Frank Moss and Mary Jane Gartman Moss. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Troy Perry; three brothers, Alonzo Moss, William Moss and Lee Moss; four sisters, Mae Grantham, Dean Campbell, Bell Ferrell and Oudia Ruth Feger; and one son-in-law, Ronnie White. Before retiring, she was a seamstress of Lenox Textile Company. She loved her family, working in her flower gardens and serving wherever she was needed. She had been a member of Lenox Baptist Church for over 50 years.
Mrs. Perry is survived by her children and their spouses, Mary Diann and Sonny Baker of Crosland, John Wayne and Rhonda Perry of Lenox, Wilda Rose Perry of Tifton, Cheryl Dale White of Ty Ty, and Joseph Wayne and Carmen Perry of Lenox; two sisters, Dorothy Cardenas of Troy, Alabama and Myrline Bates of Bowling Green, Missouri; ten grandchildren and their spouses, Mary Lucinda "Sandy" Baker, George Craig and Angel Baker, Stanley Flowers, Jr., Cheyenne Perry, Heather and Kyle Streichert, Donnie and Bonnie Harnage, Becky Harnage, Bryan and Michelle Franklin, Steven Franklin and Richard and Marcie White; twelve great-grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild on the way.
