July 24, 1940 - December 18, 2018

Howard Wiggins Howard Wiggins, Jr., 78, entered his eternal rest, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in the gracious care of Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard.

Mr. Wiggins was born in Ranburne, Alabama to the late Howard Wiggins, Sr., and the late Lula Mae Wiggins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Louise, Diane, and Sandra.

As a young child, his family moved from Rayburn, AL to make their new home in Omega, Georgia where he was raised. Howard worked for CSX Transportation as an accountant for the railroad, and retired in 2000 after 39 years of dedicated service. When he and his wife, Eileen, lived in Jacksonville, Florida, Howard found delight in being a tee-ball coach. After retiring and moving to North Carolina, he continued his love for sports by golfing in Maggie Valley, and fishing. Howard was known for being a quiet man of substance, for his humor, his kindness, and his desire to help those around him. He enjoyed traveling with his wife from coast to coast, and they held special memories together in Alaska and Nova Scotia. Howard loved his family and food, especially his wife's delicious baking. He will be forever missed.

Surviving are his precious wife of 38 years, M. Eileen Burke Wiggins; two sons, Anthony Clayton Wiggins of Decatur, Georgia, and Daniel Jason Wiggins and his wife, Kristin, of Durango, Colorado; two grandchildren, Luca and Viola; a sister, Travell Wiggins; and a brother, Pete Wiggins and his wife, Faye, of Omega, Geogia.
