A family graveside service officiated by Rev. Keith Cox of Clarkesville First United Methodist Church will be held later at Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest, Ga.
Greg was born and raised in Atlanta. He attended Riverdale High School, where he was valedictorian, and later Georgia Tech as a President's Scholar. While serving as Student Body President, Greg championed the creation of an Academic Honor Code, which remains in place today. Greg was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, ANAK and FACET, and he was voted Mr. Georgia Tech. His time at Georgia Tech was documented as part of the Institute's Living History Project and can be viewed online.
After graduating from Harvard Business School, Greg returned to Atlanta, where he enjoyed a fulfilling career as a technology entrepreneur, venture capitalist, investor and board member. In 2017, Greg retired as CEO of Experience, a Cox Enterprises company, and was inducted into the Georgia Tech Academy of Distinguished Engineering Alumni the following year.
Greg's most rewarding role was as doting father to his two sons, Jack and Henry, with whom he loved to travel, play chess and watch movies. A gifted singer, Greg enjoyed classical music, fly-fishing, and rooting for his beloved Yellow Jackets. He actively participated in his sons' activities and was always willing to lend his time and talents to advising entrepreneurs and raising money and awareness for various philanthropic organizations.
Throughout his life, Greg was an active member of the Methodist Church, singing in the choir and leading lively Sunday School classes. Greg is survived by his wife, Christine; sons, Jack and Henry; parents, Patricia Sizemore and Jack Foster; and sister, Dr. Terri Bruce, her husband, Dr. David Bruce, and their children, Sam and Maddie. He was preceded in death by the late Ora Paulk and Ralph Sizemore of Irwinville, Ga. and Lassie English and I.N. Foster of Clarkesville, Ga.

My daughter went to high school with Greg, he was a role model for her as I am sure he was for many others. Even in high school you could see that Greg was an exceptional person & a born leader. My condolences to his family.
