Jane Pittman Stone, age 83, of Jonesboro, Louisiana passed through the heavenly gates Monday, April 22, 2019. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest.
Born February 26, 1936, Mrs. Stone was the daughter of the late Thomas Pittman and Roma Murphy Pittman. She worked as an assistant librarian and drove the bookmobile for the Jackson Parish Library in Louisiana. She was a member of Jonesboro United Methodist Church in Jonesboro, Louisiana and the study guild. She enjoyed gardening and was also a member of the Jonesboro-Hodge Garden Club in Jonesboro, Louisiana.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Henry Robert "Bobby" Stone of Jonesboro, Louisiana; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Thomas Andrew "Andy" and Karen Stone of Brentwood, Tennessee and Timothy Robert Stone of Madison, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Robert Andrew Stone, Kathryn Stone Walker, Jackson Lonfellow Stone, Ella Joan Stone, Emma Jane Stone; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Ann Stone of Tifton.

To Bobby and Family--- I am so sorry for your loss of Jane. It was a pleasure to meet her so many years ago at our high school class reunion here in Tifton -------- a lovely lady who will be greatly missed by her friends and loved ones. My thoughts are with all of you. Regards, Ann Cooper Davis
