All democrats can relax, as of March 11, 2025, Alexis Belle Funfrock has passed on!
Born in Cinncinatti, Alexis traveled the great United States of America her entire life, eventually settling in the southeast.
Fascinated by engineering, Alexis was a draftsman before going out on her own as a government contractor with focuses on infrastructure.Completely capable, Alexis chose not to be an engineer because she didn't want her phone ringing when the bridge collapsed.
Alexis was into Pall Mall Blues, Fox News, the supple face of Sean Hannity, and her dreamboat of a husband, Samuel D. Funfrock.
She has been proceeded in death by her husband, Sam, and sister, Shirley Griffin, survived by her loving sons, James and David Cannon of St. Augustine, FL, and sister, Leoa Linamen of Plant City, FL.
Rearing her children in the hammock of Flagler County, FL, Alexis raised her sons on a diet of gumbo, spice, and everything nice, giving them a palate for the flavors of the world. Always one to want the last word, she died with her Louisiana legit gumbo recipe, but, inspired by her spice for life, her son, David, has been a soux chef in many of the best restaurants in northeast Florida.
Alexis was spicy, but also, Alexis was nothing if not giving and loving. She passed her compassion for others down to her youngest son, James, who has devoted his life as an EMT/Paramedic and care provider for medically needy children. Alexis was quick with a trinket, be it a porcelain angel, glass hen on nest, or an inspirational bookmark, Alexis was your gal.
At 80 years old, she was an outspoken, concealed weapon holder and fiber fanatic with a heart of gold, everyone who knew her had a better life because of her. She was proud of her 35 years of sobriety, which she replaced by Reece's cups, and only cups. None of that fancy other stuff, like sticks and cups with pieces. Just a good, conservative, traditional valued, American confection.
Alexis passed away at home with her son, James, at her side, holding her hand while in the comfort of their home in St. Augustine, Florida.
The family will be having a private service.
In lieu of flowers, like the custom bumper sticker on the back of her gas efficient enough 1989 GMC Sonoma reads "LEGALIZE THE CONSTITUTION!"
