Alexis Nicole Livingston, 19, of Adel passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017 from injuries received during the tornado that hit our area. Alexis was born Dec. 1, 1997 in Garden City, New York. She graduated from Cook High School and while attending she played on the soccer team as a goalie. She also assisted in coaching the soccer team after graduating. Alexis was employed with the Horse Creek Winery and attended Beulah Holiness Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daddy and mom, Jamie Christian (Cyndi) Livingston, Sr. of Adel; mother, Maria Livingston of Adel; brothers, Christian Livingston of Adel, and Chase Martin of San Antonio, Texas.; three sisters, Gabriella Livingston of Adel, Samantha Tyler of Rebecca, and Rosie Williamson of Cartersville, Ga.; paternal grandparents, Alfred & Dolores Livingston of Ashburn; Linda McTamney of Arabi; great grandmother, Hazel Johnson of New York; maternal grandparents, James David & Joy Graham of Adel and Betty Jean Graham of Tifton. Alexis was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lorrane Hoffman and paternal grandfather, Richard McTamney.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Cook High School Memorial Stadium with the Rev. Jonathan Walker and the Rev. Alfred Livingston officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
