Alvin Martin Snow
Mr. Alvin Martin Snow, 73, of Tifton passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 3:00 PM in Tift Memorial Gardens with Rev. Keith Burch officiating. Alvin will lie in state at his home 233 Vanceville Road, Tifton, Ga., 31794.
Preston Snow, Brent Snow, Derrick Snow, Justin Partain, Ryan Riemer and Carlton Riemer will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Snow was born May 23, 1946 in Albany, Georgia to the late Albert Parker Snow and Lucille Bass Snow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Cason and his brother James Monroe "Jackie" Snow. Mr. Snow was a member of Tift Avenue Missionary Baptist Church and had lived most of his life in Tifton. He was a retired automobile mechanic. He was an excellent mechanic and had worked with Carmichael's, McKees, Brooks, Tift General Tire and Kennan's Auto Parts. He enjoyed drag racing, wood working and he loved western movies especially those featuring John Wayne . He worked with his wife at Nana's Pet Grooming. Alvin loved his family and his dogs Samson and Rambo. He was a wonderful husband.
Mr. Snow is survived by his wife Dianne Moore Snow of Tifton, to whom he was married for fifteen years; two daughters and son-in-law Tammy and James Partain and Betty Jean Harvey all of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law Jody and Kristina Snow of Tifton; one stepson and stepdaughter-in-law James and Jennifer Bell of Tifton and ten grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted.
