ENIGMA - Archie Dennis "A.D." White, 81, of Enigma, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with the Rev. Billy Sumner officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Danny Vogt, Tyler Walker, Hal Walker, David Moore, Gary Anderson and Gary Mimms. Mr. White was born Dec. 3, 1933 in Cedar Grove to the late Elisha and Rosie Hall White. He was also preceded in death by a sister. He graduated from Cedar Grove High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. White made his living as a truck driver for P-I-E. He loved to fish, hunt, garden, play the guitar and listen to gospel and old country music. He was a member of the Old Friends Music Group. Mr. White is survived by his wife, Shirley Hoyle White of Enigma; his children and their spouses, William Dennis and Linda White of Saluda, North Carolina, Cheryl and Garvin White of Huntersville, North Carolina, David Robert and Dorianne White of Belmont, North Carolina, Rose Ellen and Allan Lineberger of Bessemer, North Carolina, Letha Kaye and Danny Vogt of Senoia, Debra and Steve Haithcock of Belmont, North Carolina, Brenda Ann and David Moore of Ellenboro, North Carolina, Crystal White of Douglas, Kylie White of Enigma, Brandon and Delain White of Homerville and Chris and Krista White of Enigma; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers; four sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
