Howard Lee Burrous, 63, of Ty Ty died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at his residence. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later. Among his survivors is his wife, Darlene Burrous. Almurree Thomas-Jones of Adel died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital of Adel. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Corttell Chapel AME Church in Sparks. Interment will follow at Adel Cemetery. Her body will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Survivors include her husband, Curtis Robert Jones; four sons, Jerome Carter of Adel, Alden Thomas of Warner Robins, Tony Thomas of Lenox and Devane Thomas of Warner Robins; a daughter, Daisy Striggles of Valdosta; stepchildren, Jackie Francis, Curtis Joes and Kerniece Jones; sisters, Mary Lee Lee of Valdosta and Daisy Mae Fiveash of Valdosta; and a brother, Nathaniel Brown of Sparks. Arrangements have been entrusted to Taylor Family Funeral Service. Annie Merle Wilson Ethridge, 77, of Ashburn died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Ashburn First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Perry Funeral Chapel. Survivors include her children, Rachel Ethridge, Robin Phillips, Jennifer Alberson, all of Ashburn, and Greg Ethridge of Warner Robins; and her brothers and sisters, George B. Wilson Jr. of Warner Robins, Hiram G. Wilson and Herman D. Wilson, both of Rebecca, William G. Wilson of Bryon, Marie McCard of Ashburn and Deena French of Bryon. Perry Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
