Katie Mae Barnes died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Olive Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Hall's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


Mable Foster, 80, of Tifton, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Beulah Hill Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. Ms. Foster is survived by two sons, Frank Foster Jr. of Columbus and Horace Foster of Tifton; five daughters, Ruby Hubbard of Jacksonville, Fla., Barbara Buchanan, Forestine Lunsford and Sara Foster, all of Tifton, and Vivian Dicostanzo of Savannah; and two sisters, Para Lee Jinks of Tifton and Willie Pearl Norris of Chula. Melton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


Vivian McClellan Cowart, 71, of Adel, died Sunday, May 15, 2005, at Memorial Convalescent Center of Adel. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel, Highway 41 South, Adel, with burial to follow at Empire Church Cemetery in Lanier County. Mrs. Cowart is survived by her husband, Ben Cowart of Adel; one daughter, Karen Redding of Adel; and one brother, Robert McClellan of Adel. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home.


Leroy Dales, 70, of Nashville, died Sunday, May 15, 2005, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Riverside Church Cemetery. Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.


Elyse McDonald Segraves, 92, of Fitzgerald, died Monday, May 16, 2005, at Dorminy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Meriam McDonald of Miami Lakes, Fla. and a grandson, Richard H. Hammond, III of Charlotte, N.C. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Paulk Funeral Home.


Ludell (Lou) Duren Bennett, 70, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Monday, May 16, 2005. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at Temple Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband, Harrell Bennett; a son, Joseph M. Duren; a daughter, Katrinia Duren Masters; a step-daughter, Penney Seymour; and a sister, Jean Jensen. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fraser Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Fla.


Ola C. Brown died Friday, May 13, 2005, at Beverly Health Care. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Frank and Solomon Nixon Funeral Home.
