Helen Lott Carr, 82, of Tifton passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church in Omega with the Rev. Danny Smith and the Rev. Lamar Burkett officiating. Mrs. Carr was laid to rest at Leila Church Cemetery in Omega.
Wesley Hunter, Tripp Wilson, Michael Howard, T. J. Tripp, Andrew Roberts, and Michael Kenovich served as pallbearers.
Born October 11, 1942, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Carr was the daughter of the late Jessie D. Lott and Izzie Mae Hamm Lott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Carr; one son, Anthony Ray "Tony" Tripp, Sr.; two brothers; and three sisters. Before retiring, she was a registered nurse at Tift Regional Medical Center; and she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Omega. She loved gardening in her yard.
Mrs. Carr is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Cindy Webb of Tifton; four daughters, Carol Edmondson of Ocala, Florida, Donna Tripp (Mike) of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Camille Giles of Tifton and lee lindsey Bleshoy of Athens; one brother, Tommy Lott of Ty Ty; two sisters, Mary Lee Seaton of Tampa, Florida and Lena Ontiveros Willis of Saint Petersburg, Florida; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Isabelle Bowman, lifelong friend, and Zoe and Angela with Hospice of Tift Area for the loving care of Mrs. Carr.
