Tifton, GA - The Rev. Jackie Connell, 84, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Legacy Village in Tifton. His funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Michael Bennett officiating. Rev. Connell was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Ed Giddens, Marlon Giddens, Jeremy Luke, Terry Danforth, Clayton Danforth and Damon Connell served as pallbearers.

Born April 1, 1941, in Berrien County, Rev. Connell was the son of the late Homer Connell and Lenora Giddens Connell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Drawdy Connell; one brother, Jason Connell; and one sister, Doris Tomlinson. He served many years as a Missionary Baptist minister, as well as being retired from United Parcel Service.

Rev. Connell is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Mindy Connell of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Anthony Goodman of Tifton; one brother, Jet Connell of Lenox; one sister, Carolyn Danforth of West Berrien; five grandchildren and their spouses, Kaycee and Stephen McMillan, Kassidy Goodman, Hannah and Hudson Durden, Samantha and Cole Hughes and Stephanie and Brandon Clinton; and one great-grandchild, Haddon McMillan.
