James Cates Esco, III
James Cates Esco III passed away on December 21, 2018, in Sarasota, Florida from complications of Juvenile Diabetes.
James had a full life of twenty-eight years. He was an accomplished soccer and football kicker that played football for Florida State University and Jacksonville State University. He excelled in his Advertising profession. That allowed him to live in different areas of the United States to explore new places. James loved traveling to new and exciting destinations. He especially liked the Florida Keys. James was known to his family as "Big Heart," as he was giving and loving to all. He loved cooking and trying exotic foods. We would tease him because he had such a wide range of spices in his kitchen. James also enjoyed fishing, hunting and visiting around fire pits especially at his family farm over the years. Though James was with us for far too short a time, we have been blessed with so many memories of him. He enjoyed life to the fullest extent. He made us all the better for having loved him and sharing of our time with him.
James is survived by his father, James Esco, Jr. (Susan Hall Esco) and his mother Susan Fuller Esco, his siblings, Angela Esco Elder (Nathan Elder), Matthew H. Esco (Katie Para), David Lightle and Dylan Lightle.
There has been a private memorial service.
If you wish to memorialize James, please donate to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in his name www.jdrf.org.
