TIFTON - Jennifer Annette Roberson Blanton Foy, 40, of Tifton, died Friday, June 6, 2008, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors, with the Rev. Ricky Revels and the Rev. Carl Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Jeff Lunceford, Shawn Lunceford, Jason Tillman, Donnie Roberson, Alan Roberson and Cole Exum will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Bill Murphy, Jim Radford, Bobby Turner, Sidney Yates, Bob Edwards and Milton Revels.
Ms. Foy was born Aug. 31, 1967, in Valdosta to Fred Roberson and Judy Annette Motes Everingham, both of whom survive.
Ms. Foy was an excellent student, receiving many certificates of award and honor for her accomplishments. She was a 1985 graduate of Lowndes County High School where she played the flute as a member of the Lowndes County Marching Bridgemen Band. Two memorable events she participated in with the band were the Mardi Gras Parade in New Orleans and playing during half-time at an Atlanta Falcons football game. She loved horses and became an avid rider. Ms. Foy was a secretary of Long Riders Trail Club where she participated in many trail rides and wagon trains from Minnesota, Alabama, and in Georgia on the 100-mile ride form Tifton to Calgary (Ga.) during their Mule Day festivities.
Ms. Foy had always worked in the medical field and most recently was employed as office manager for Life Line in Tifton. She was a member of Elam Baptist Church, and she was extremely proud of her two children, Dewayne and Cassidy.
Ms. Foy is survived by her father and stepmother, Fred and Donna Roberson of Valdosta; her mother and stepfather, Judy and Steven Everingham of Tifton; her son, Brian Dewayne Blanton Jr. of Lake Park; her daughter, Cassidy LeAnne Foy of Quitman; her special love and fiancé, Wallace Turner Jr. of Tifton; her sister, Michelle Dawn Myers, and fiancé, Raymond Faircloth; and her nephew, Waylon Raymond Faircloth, all of Dixie; her stepchildren, Christy Lynn Turner, Brian Turner, Joey Ellis and Randy Turner; her grandchild, Taylor Grace Turner, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
