Chula, GA - Larry Underwood, 83, of Chula passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Pruitt Health-Magnolia Manor in Moultrie.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2025, in the Memorial Chapel of Tifton's First Baptist Church. Mr. Underwood will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in the Memorial Chapel of Tifton's First Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.

Mr. Underwood's grandsons as well as Jaimie Allen and Mike Marchant will serve as pallbearers.

Born October 22, 1941, in Tifton, Mr. Underwood was the son of the late Wilson Underwood and Pauline Cotney Underwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Allen Underwood; and one brother, Paul Underwood. Before retiring, he worked for 36 years for Georgia Power Company; and he was a member of Tifton's First Baptist Church. He also served in the Army Reserve.

Mr. Underwood is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Russ and Mary Underwood of Tifton and Doug Underwood of Palatka, Florida; one daughter, Linda Underwood of Oak Ridge, North Carolina; and five grandchildren, Cavan Truman, Blake Underwood, Ashley Spurlin, Colin Queen and Finn Queen.
