Lorey  Register
Mr. Lorey Register, 88, of Tifton, Georgia, formerly of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Legacy Village in Tifton. He was born on February 6, 1931 in Berrien County. His parents were Shelton Grady Register and Mary Louise Griffis Register. Mr. Register was a member of Hahira Church of God and was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked for McConnell Pest Control as an exterminator for 35 years and later retired from Pro-Kill Pest Control.

Mr. Register is survived by his wife of 67 years, Idell Harnage Register of Tifton; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Cindy Register of Valdosta; a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Cal Roach of Chula, Georgia; five grandchildren: Persephanie and Craig Castleberry of Hahira, Jonathan Harper of Valdosta, Kellie and Russell Price of Chula, James K. II and Courtney Howell of Fayetteville, Georgia, and Sam Roach of Chula; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanette Wilson of Orange, Texas. In addition to his parents, Mr. Register was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kelsi Roach; two brothers: Troy Register and Grady Register; and a sister, Ruby Nell O'Quinn.

The funeral service for Mr. Register will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel, Georgia with Rev. Edgar Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Wilkes Cemetery. Larry Ganas, Craig Castleberry, Caleb Kussman, Lawrence Hester, Russell Price, Jeffrey Roach and Hunter Kussman will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
