OMEGA - Nancy Elizabeth "Mama Beck" Gray Brogdon, 93, of Omega, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at Golden Living Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, at Leila United Methodist Church with the Rev. Frank Morris and the Rev. Grant Abernathy officiating with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.

John Sauls, Charles Robinson, Walter Powell, Michael Watts, Ricky Moore, Greg Rutland, Lamar Burkett and Jay Eutsler will serve as pallbears. Members of the Leila United Methodist Church Adult Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Born April 27, 1915, in Cook County to the late Millard Fillmore Gray and Nancy Elizabeth Vickers Gray, Mrs. Brogdon was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Franklin Brogdon, two brothers, Dan Gray and Millard Gray, and two sisters, Stella Wetherington and Lueel Coker.

Mrs. Brogdon, a homemaker, had lived most of her life in Colquitt County. She was a member of Leila United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Brogdon is survived by three children, Frances Whiddon Martin and Franklin W. "Buddy" Brogdon and his wife, Eileen, all of Omega, and Mary B. "Jean" Anderson and her husband, Jim, of Chula; five grandchildren, Paige (Robbie) Baker of Tifton, Paul Whiddon, Lisa (Stuart) Taylor, and Libby (Chuck) Jinright, all of Omega, and Beth (Robert) Richardson of Athens; one step-grandchild, Tammy Walker of Norman Park; 11 great-grandchildren, Rainee, Cam and Cason Baker of Tifton, Payton, Mattie and Rebecca Jinright and Stuart, Ashley and Hunter Taylor, all of Omega, and Andi Richardson of Athens; two step-great-grandchildren, Chris Mullins and Haley Walker of Norman Park; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will be at the residence of Franklin "Buddy" Brogdon, 1399 Elton Clark Road, Omega.
