Valdosta, GA - Randall "Randy" Bruce, 79, of Valdosta died Sunday, September 21, 2025 at SGMC in Valdosta.

He was born December 9, 1945, in Montgomery, AL to the late William DeFoy "Red" Bruce and the late Mary Goolsdy Bruce. He was a contractor with Store Cable TV for years and retired owner of McGill Liquor Store. He graduated from Tift High School, where he was the starting quarterback and superlative athlete in baseball, basketball and track. He graduated from ABAC College where he met his wife: Barbara. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara McGill Bruce who died in 2005 and brother: Jerry Allen Bruce.

He is survived by 2 daughters: Cindy (Bill) Pegg of Valdosta and Carmen (Walt) Turner of Nashville; sister: Debbie (Henry) Cross of Moultrie; 4 grandchildren: Taylor (Stephen) Logue of Valdosta, Jackson (Catherine) Pegg of Nashville, William Pegg of Valdosta and Georgia Ann Booth of Chicago, IL; 3 great grandchildren: Oliva, Nora, and Theodore; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Mr. Jeff Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
