Tifton, GA - Ray Jesse Luke, 83, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Oakey Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Berrien County with the Rev. Walt Tompkins officiating. Mr. Luke will be laid to rest at Oakey Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Born March 9, 1941, in Enigma (Berrien County), Mr. Luke was the son of the late Jesse D. Luke and Naomi Hancock Luke. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Ivor Kate Luke, Audrey Nell Luke, Charles Waylon Luke, Henry Olan Luke and Robert Wayne Luke. Before retiring, he was a route salesman for Golden Flake.

Mr. Luke is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Merle McConnell Luke of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Tamara Lynn and Peter Kwan of Stroud, England; two sons and daughters-in-law, David R. and Ashley Luke of Dunwoody and Mark B. and Deanna Luke of Poulan; five grandchildren, Alyssa Hanson, Sarah Hanson, Spencer Luke, Ashley Luke and Emily Redding and her husband, Brad; and one great-granddaughter, Maggie Redding.
