Raydene  Johnson
Mr. Raydene Johnson, 84 of Lenox passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Johnson was born January 1, 1935 to the late Homer Lee Johnson and Leila Mae Fountain Johnson. He was a member of UGC Life (Union Grove.) Mr. Johnson taught Sunday School for approximately 40 years. He was a faithful member, and loved his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He loved to minister thru singing and touched many lives. Mr. Johnson was employed with the USDA as an Agricultural Research Specialist for 35 years. He was involved with Entomological Research. Mr. Johnson loved all sports, he loved being outdoors and fishing after his retirement. He was an avid runner and loved cycling. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jeanette Johnson of Lenox; two children, Kenneth R. Johnson (Barbara) of Rocky Face, and Rita J. Pafford (Terry) of Sparks; five grandchildren, Brandon Pafford (CJ) of Tifton, Austin Pafford (Jessy) of Valdosta, Sarah Johnson of Rock Face, Katie Johnson of Kennesaw, and Kenny Johnson of Athens; five great grandchildren, Meghan, Mallary & Mason Pafford, and Jolie & Ella Pafford; two sisters, Betty Proctor of Lake Placid, Fl, and Patsy Strickland of Arcadia, Fl. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lee Johnson and his sister, Bertha Hinson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at UGC Life (Union Grove), Eldorado, GA with Rev. Jimmie Hinson, Rev. Todd Garner, and Rev. Joseph Crumley officiating. Interment will follow at UGC Life Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at UGC Life, Eldorado. Flowers will be received, however, donations can be made to Homestead Hospice, 110 E. 10th Street, Tifton, GA 31794 or to UGC Life Building Fund, 4144 US Hwy 41 S. Tifton, GA 31794.
