NORMAN PARK, GA.- Segried "Dick" Wisham, 77, of Norman Park, Ga. died Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Jody Weaver, Dale Smithwick, Charles Rice, Gary Johnson, Matthew Weaver, Brad McPhail and Christy Smithwick. Honorary casketbearer will be Jayden Weaver. Born March 21, 1940 in Moultrie, Ga., he was the son of the late Simmie Steven Wisham and Agnes Pate Wisham. Mr. Wisham was a United States Air Force veteran and retired from Globe Finance Company as a manager. His family remembers how he was a wonderful family man, enjoyed his grandchildren and everybody called him "Papa". Mr. Wisham enjoyed watching his grandson play for the Outlaw Baseball Team. His favorite quote was "I Love You Girl". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Wayne Wisham and William "Toby" Miller; brother and sisters, Kenneth Wisham, Lora Gay, Irma Ohlenkamp and Bonnie Faye Giddens. Survivors include his wife of 27 years Phyllis Ann Workman Wisham of Norman Park, Ga.; five children, Regina Rice and Charles of Mallory, WV., Jay Weaver of Moultrie, Ga., Dianne Wisham of Decatur, Ga., Nina Johnson and Gary of Norman Park, Ga., Jamiy Smithwick and Dale of Moultrie, Ga.; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Hilda Watts and Jim of Navarre, Fla.; two brothers, Daniel Wisham of Daytona Beach, Fla., Freddie Wisham and Lynn of Albany, Ga.; special friend, Dorothy and Farrell Sellers.
