Tifton, Georgia - Willette Powell Martin, 78, of Tifton passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Ron Lawhon officiating. A eulogy was given by Rodney Stone. Mrs. Martin was laid to rest at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Enigma.

Born September 18, 1947, in Toombs County, Mrs. Martin was the daughter of the late William Walton Powell and Mae Martin Powell. Mrs. Martin loved her family and was an excellent homemaker. She attended Tifton's First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, Ernest "Rayburn" Martin of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Shirley Powell of Macon; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Jean and Clifford Pennington of Milledgeville, Flo and Tony Jackson of Chula and Velva Joy and Jerry Clutter of Gordon; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Fay Stiles.
