Mr. William Bruce Hinson Obituary

East Dublin, Georgia - Born in Cairo, GA on May 13, 1936 - Died in Dublin, GA on January 23, 2026.

He graduated from Tift County High School. He attended college at the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) and transferred to the University of Georgia (UGA), where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Forestry. He worked for a few different companies in the forestry industry before opening his own business (Hinson Timberland Mgmt). He was very successful at his craft. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve, where he became a sharpshooter. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting, boating, and target shooting. His main passion was participating in all types of target shooting matches - pistol, rifle, and shotgun. He was able to enjoy his hobby until very late in life.

Bruce was the perfect example of an honest, compassionate, and hard-working man. He led by example. He was a great son, brother, father, husband, uncle, cousin, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend to many. He lived his life to the fullest. He took everything in stride and made the best of every situation. He also had a wonderful sense of humor that everyone around him cherished. He will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the funeral home.
